it is true that both boxing and the game show appeal to audiences because a person is getting hurt, but the boxing shows an athletic- which to the audience- gives them a moral excuse to enjoy it. the people who watch the game show dont seem to be bothered by the fact that the violence they're witnessing is not sugar coated by being an element of something more acceptable, like an athletic contest or a story.
i should also mention that the japanese kill dolphins.

it would sound that way to someone who cares more about winning a discussion than coming to a truth about something.

I would have loved to be a primitive California indian culture.

the native americans really had it made, given their particular band was strong enough to win wars against their neighboring tribes or had long lasting pacts with them.

It really depends on which native americans you're talking about. Quite a few of them were far from the dances with wolves depiction.

Oriental. I think traditinal oriental women are so dainty and beautiful. What is traditional oriental culture? I've never heard of that.

You're right Jenn. "Oriental" is as cultural specific as "caucasian."

Well when someone says "oriental" my first thought jumps to Japan, so maybe just that country. I have always wanted to go there but never found the time.

It's very expensive from what I understand.
I've heard hong kong is the coolest oriental country to visit.

Even japan and china have different cultural backgrounds. Yeah but they all kind of look the same. What do thousands of years of culture mean. Why differentiate?
